Form
The Keene State Cross-Country Camp is designed to provide you with the finest coaching and instruction available. Each athlete will be exposed to every aspect of competitive running ranging from basic fundamentals and techniques through elite level training. Some of the areas you will receive instruction on are nutrition, weight training, interval work, circuit training, hill workouts, goal setting, relaxation and visualization.
Peter Thomas, Camp Director
Coach Thomas is entering his 26rd year at the helm of Keene State's
highly successful cross country and track programs (NCAA Div. III
Runners-ups 1999, 2000 Cross Country). His athletes have earned 121
All-America honors and 10 NCAA Individual Championships. He has
been New England Coach of the Year ten times.
George Suitor, Asst. Camp Director
Coach Suitor is entering his 16th year at Trinity College. In 2003,
his women's team finished 2nd at the NCAA Cross Country
Championships. His athletes have earned 20 All America honors and
two NCAA individual national championships. Coach Suitor also had
an outstanding career as a high school coach which saw his teams
win three State Titles and place second three times for Manchester
Conn.

The rest of the camp staff will consist of other college and high school coaches and collegiate runners, including several Keene State All Americans.
A Typical Camp Day
7:00 - Wake up
7:20 - Morning Run (20 min)
8:15 - Breakfast
9:00 - Group Activity
11:00 - Swim
12:00 - Lunch
1:30 - Group Lecture
3:00 - Afternoon Run/workout
5:30 - Dinner
7:00 - Group Activity
10:00 - Curfew
10:30 - Lights Out
Medical Information
Certified Athletic Trainers will be on duty to administer to minor
injuries and ailments. Upon receipt of camper's application and
deposit, a medical release form will be forwarded for completion.
In addition, all campers must have proof of personal medical
insurance.
Cost
The overnight fee is $425
Commuter - $250
Team discount - $395 (four or more athletes from the same school)
Eligibility
The commuter camp and overnight camp is for Boys and Girls Ages
13-19.
What to bring
All campers should bring:
Running shoes (2 pairs)
Workout clothes (shirts, shorts, etc.)
Bed Linen (or sleeping bag)
Blanket and pillow
Towels
Running log
Sunscreen
Bathing suit
Additional suggestions:
Fan
Alarm clock
Extension cord
Do not bring valuables
Accommodations
All campers will reside in Pondside dormitory on the Keene State
College campus. All meals will be provided in the campus-dining
hall. 24-hour supervision and security will be provided at the
dormitory. Failure to comply with camp guidelines will
result in immediate dismissal from camp.
