PAWTUCKET, R.I. - Junior Hunter Arnold, sophomore Molly St. Germain, and senior Amanda Makar garnered Little East Conference (LEC) weekly honors following standout performances, it was announced today.
Hunter Arnold earned the title of LEC Offensive Player of the Week after an impressive showing during the two Spring Break games, as the junior midfielder registered nine points to lead the Owls to a perfect 2-0 week. In a matchup against Nichols, Arnold recorded a career-high five goals with one assist and notched the final two goals for Keene State to seal the 12-10 win, before tallying a hat-trick against Hamilton in a 14-7 victory.
Sophomore Molly St. Germain was named the LEC Pitcher of the Week, after recording 19 strikeouts in 28.2 innings and earning a 3-2 record on the week, while hitting .353 with seven RBI and three doubles. St. Germain's week was highlighted by a pair of complete games, with five strikeouts against Bowdoin and seven against Susquehanna. She also came out of the bullpen to notch a win in relief in the Owls' come-from-behind victory against Marywood.
Senior Amanda Makar was selected for the LEC Defensive Player of the Week honor after recording seven caused turnovers and six ground balls. In a contest versus Endicott, Makar had three caused turnovers and three ground balls. Against SUNY Geneseo, the senior forced a team-high four turnovers and tallied three ground balls.
