PAWTUCKET, R.I. - Senior Rob Hart of the Keene State men's lacrosse program, senior Katelyn Terry of the Keene State women's track and field program, along with the women's 4x400 meter relay team, have been recognized with Little East Conference (LEC) weekly honors, after standout performances, it was announced by the conference office today.
Senior attackman Rob Hart, of Londonderry, N.H., earned the title of LEC Offensive Player of the Week, after racking up 11 points off of six goals and five assists in a 2-0 week for the Owls. Against Plymouth State, Hart scored three goals and added two helpers, before scoring a hat-trick and dishing out three assists in a win over Southern Maine. With the two victories, Keene State extended its winning-streak to seven and holds a perfect 5-0 record in conference. Hart currently ranks third in the LEC in goals scored with 35 this season.
Women's Track and Field
Senior Katelyn Terry, from Strafford, N.H., was tabbed the LEC Track Athlete of the Week for the third time this season, after another outstanding performance at the Springfield College Classic. The senior posted a career-best and winning time of 2:15.36 in the 800 meter run and has now earned first-place finishes in the past three consecutive meets; twice in the 800 meter run (4/8, 4/22) and once in the 400 meter run (4/15). K. Terry currently ranks 32nd nationally in NCAA Division III in the 800 meter run.
For the third time this season, the 4x400 meter relay team of senior K. Terry, senior Lindsey Terry, sophomore Brittany Gravallese, and freshman Nicole De Almeida was named the LEC Relay Team of the Week. The quartet continued their impressive outdoor season with a second-place finish in a time of 3:59.91 at the Springfield College Classic.
