KEENE, N.H.--Keene State College Assistant Athletic Director Abe Osheyack has announced that Ken Swain will be joining the staff as the assistant director of sports information and equipment manager, effective August 8.
Swain joins the Owls after spending the 2017-18 year as the assistant SID at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine. While with the Nor'easters, Swain served as the primary contact for men's and women's soccer, ice hockey, and lacrosse programs, while assisting in all aspects of the sports information office and creating social media and video content.
"I would like to thank Abe Osheyack and the rest of the athletic department for this opportunity", said Swain. "I look forward to joining the Keene State staff as the new Assistant Sports Information Director. I've seen from a distance how well their teams have thrived in the Little East Conference and I am extremely excited for this opportunity to publicize those successes."
Swain also has familiarity with the Little East Conference, working as a graduate assistant at UMass Dartmouth from 2015-17. Working with the Corsairs, Swain assisted in the daily operation of 25 intercollegiate programs, in compliance with the strategic marketing platform of the athletic department. Swain is a 2015 graduate of Nichols College with a degree in business administration with a concentration in sport management. He has also worked as the Director of Baseball Operations for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League and as an official statistician for the Cape Code Baseball League.
"I'm pleased to welcome Ken to our staff," said Osheyack. "His abilities in video and digital communications were especially key in making this hire. I look forward to working with him as we continue to improve in that area."
