2019 Men's Lacrosse Schedule - A Closer Look

KEENE, N.H.--The season schedule is out for the Keene State College men's lacrosse team, which features two teams from last years NCAA tournament. The Owls are looking for their sixth straight LEC title in 2019.

The Owls have two contests on the road in February. They open up the season on the 23rd at RPI. The last meeting between the two sides was in 2018, with the Owls coming away victorious 18-11. They finish up their February slate on the 26th at Western New England. WNEU won the Commonwealth Coast Conference in 2018 and handed the Owls a 13-10 loss last season.

The month opens up with a trip to nationally ranked Tufts on the sixth. Tufts won the NESCAC in 2018 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament. The Owls then venture down to Orlando, Florida on the 13th for their first ever meeting with Lycoming. KSC then returns to Keene for their first home game of the season on the 19th against Bates. LEC play opens up on the 23rd at home when UMass Boston visits. A trip to Saratoga Springs on the 26th is next for the Owls when they visit Skidmore, of whom the Owls fell to narrowly 13-10 last season. The month finishes with another home LEC contest on the 30th when UMass Dartmouth comes to town.

The month of April begins with a rematch of the 2018 LEC Championship game as Eastern Connecticut visits Keene on April 3rd. The Owls beat the Warriors 24-8 last season to win their fifth straight LEC title. A trip to Salem, Mass follows at Salem State on the sixth. Two road contests follow with trips to Castleton and Plymouth State on the ninth and 17th respectively. KSC returns home on the 20th to square off with Western Connecticut before wrapping up the regular season campaign with a trip to Southern Maine on April 26th. The LEC tournament, which will take the top six teams in the league standings, begins with the quarterfinal round on April 20.

The number one seed in the LEC will host the conference semifinals on May 3rd, followed by the final on the 4th.
