Perkowski, Hannon Named USTFCCCA All-Region

NEW ORLEANS, La.--All-Region honors for the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season were announced Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season.

Top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay teams.   Honorees for Keene State included Jared Hannon in the long jump, and Lauren Perkowski in the 10,000 meters.

Hannon (Pelham, N.H.) set a new school record in the long jump with a leap of 7.14 meters at the Little East Conference Championships on April 27, qualifying for the New England Division III Championships, the Open New England Championships, and the ECAC New England III Championships.   That jump also earned him his third Little East Conference title in long jump, to go with championships in 2016 and 2018.  It's the second year in a row that Hannon has received All-Region recognition from the USTFCCCA.

Perkowski (Southington, Conn.) ran a season best time of 37:13.57 at the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College on April 13, and ran to a double win in both the 5,000 and 10,000 meters at the LEC Championships on April 27.   She also qualified for the New England Division III and Open New England Championships, as well as the ECAC New England Division III Championships.
