Greg Bates, Junior, Baseball

Greg Bates batted .476 during the Owls; 4-1 week.  The junior from Salem, N.H. saved his best for last going 7-9 in the Owls 9-6 and 14-7 Little East Conference sweep over UMass-Boston on Saturday.  He scored five runs and knocked in three runs in the sweep of the Beacons. 

"I felt pretty good today.  I struggled during the week and just tried to hit the ball in the middle of the field," said Bates. "The team morale is pretty high right now.  After the game, we found out Eastern was swept by RIC, so we're pretty pumped to be back in first place."

Bates is currently batting .401 this season.
