Morrill and Bergstrom named to D3Baseball All-Region team

KEENE, N.H. 5/18/12 – Keene State College senior outfielders Kyle Morrill (Auburn, N.H.) and  Erik Bergstrom (Enfield, Conn.) were named to D3Baseball All-Region team announced on Friday. Both players were first-team selections.

Morrilll has been deliberate at the dish this season, getting at least one hit in 33 of the 40 games he's started, including 23 multiple-hit games. His .431 batting average is second in the Little East. He's also among the top five in the conference in hits (68), runs (53), RBIs (44), triples (7), and total bases (100). 

Bergstrom has had an equally productive season for the Owls with 18 multiple hit games.  The right fielder tops the Little East in RBIs with 50 and is also tied for the lead with 17 doubles.  He also carried a batting average of .400, fourth best in the LEC, into today's NCAA tournament game against St. Joseph's College.
