KSC Baseball Players Earn Roster Spots in Quality Summer Leagues

Coach Ken Howe and the Keene State College baseball program are very proud to announce the signings of Owl players to elite summer leagues around the country. In the Summer of 2010, the KSC program has been pleased with the success of placing their players in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL), the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League (ACBL) and the Atlantic Baseball Confederation Collegiate League (ABCCL).

"As long as we continue to get the Keene State College name out their and find some great experience for our guys, then I am happy," said KSC head coach Ken Howe.

The program also has ties to summer leagues with associate head coach Marty Testo and assistant coach Dan Moylan also serving as head coach and assistant coach for the Keene Swamp Bats of the NECBL.

"It says a lot about the Keene State program and the type of players we’re getting here,” said Testo, talking about KSC players getting selected to summer league teams. "Given the opportunity, these players can play at the Division I or II level. They just chose to play at Keene State."

Testo also believes these leagues will set up the Keene State players for a terrific experience. “It opens up so many doors for them,” he said. “They not only get a chance to meet kids from all over the country, but get exposed to a different brand of baseball.”
