Four Owls Named To LEC Field Hockey All-Star Team
KEENE, N.H. 10/29/01 - Keene State College placed four players on the 2001 Little East Conference field hockey all-star team.
Junior midfielder Melissa Harnch-Smith (Newburyport, MA.) and Nichole Dallas (Marlow, N.H.), a sophomore defender, were named to the first team. Second on the team in scoring with eight goals, six assists and 22 points, Harnch-Smith led the Owls with five game winning goals. Dallas tallied seven goals, four assists, and 18 points to go a long with her strong play in the Owls' backfield.
A pair of forwards, Tanya Strong (Hatfield, MA.) and Annie Timson (Derry, NH) earned second team honors. Strong led the Owls with seven goals, 10 assists, and 24 points while Timson had team-high 10 goals as well as two assists and 22 points.
Keene State completed its season with a 10-10 (7-3 LEC) record.
