Bruno Named All-Rookie By Synapse Sports

KEENE, N.H.--There are more honors on tap for Keene State College field hockey freshman forward Nina Bruno, who was named to the synapsesports.com All-Rookie team, it was recently announced.

The award is another trophy in the case for Bruno, who was named NFHCA Second Team All-Region, as well as earning the Little East Conference Rookie of the Year, LEC Tournament Most Outstanding Player, and First Team All-Conference awards. 

A native of Agawam, Mass., Bruno started all 23 games for the Owls, scoring 23 goals and assisting on seven more.   The 23 goals are tied for the fifth most in a single season, while the 53 points are the sixth most in one season.  Bruno had four hat-tricks this season, against Framingham State (September 7), Bridgewater State (October 7), Bridgewater State again (October 28), and Westfield State (November 4).  She netted the game winning goal in six of Keene State's 14 wins this year.
