KANSAS CITY, Mo.--Keene State College junior guard Ty Nichols was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District Second Team, as selected by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division III.
It's another feather in the cap for Nichols, a native of Springfield, Mass. He was also named to the All-LEC First Team and All-LEC Defensive Team after he led the Owls in scoring at 20.6 points per game, shooting 49.4% from the field and 32.1% from three point range. He also grabbed 6.4 rebounds per game and passed out 5.0 assists per game, scoring in double-figures in every game and going over 25 points on eight different occasions, including a season high 31 point outing against No. 6 Middlebury on January 30. Defensively, Nichols led the team with 2.6 steals per game, At the end of his junior season, Nichols is in fourth place on KSC's all-time career scoring list, with 1,548 points. It was the second straight All-LEC First Team nod for Nichols, who also received the honor in 2016-17.
The Owls finished the season at 19-9, including 11-3 in Little East Conference play.
