Schairer selected to play in senior lacrosse all-star game

KEENE, N.H.  5/22/12 – Keene State College’s Matt Schairer (Wrentham, Mass.) has been selected to play in the 71st annual United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association/LaxWorld Division III Senior North/South Game. The game will be played in Harvard Stadium on Friday, May 25, at 3 p.m.  

Completing his three-year Keene State career with a super senior season, Schairer led the Owls in points (73), assists (31) and man-up goals (6). The senior attack tallied a career-high nine points on six goal and three assists in a 21-7 victory over Salve Regina back on March 7th. A team captain, he also had five goals and two assists against Western Conn. State on April 28th at Owl Athletic Complex on senior day. Schairer completed his KSC career fourth all-time in goals (149) and third all-time in points (232).

The Owls, who finished with a 10-6 record, advanced to the championship game of the Little East Conference tournament.
