O'Brien Receives LEC Track Honor

'KEENE, N.H. 2/16/04 - Keene State College's Shannon O'Brien was named Little East Conference women's track and field athlete of the week, it was announced Monday. 

O'Brien, a junior from Tilton, N.H., captured a pair of individual events and ran a leg on a pair of triumphant relay teams to help lead Keene State to a runner-up finish at the Little East Conference/Alliance Championships on Saturday.  O'Brien won the 600 meters (1:41.61) and the 1,000 meters (3:13.64) while helping the 4x400 (4:20.59) and the 4x800 (10:14.13) relay teams to victory. 

The KSC men's and women's track team gear up for the New England Championships hosted by Tufts University on Saturday, Feb. 21 (11 a.m.).
