Guilmette, Kolacz and Walsh hit NCAA provisional marks at George Davis Invitational

LOWELL, MASS. 4/9/11 – Sophomore Glenn Guilmette (Kensington, N.H.), senior Bryan Kolacz (Brentwood, N.H.) and junior Andrea Walsh (Bolton, Conn.) all posted NCAA Division III Provisional marks at the George Davis Track and Field Invitational at UMass-Lowell on Saturday.  

Guilmette won the javelin event with an NCAA Division III Championship provisional qualifying throw of 201'-10" Guilmette qualified for the NCAA national meet last year with his toss at the George Davis Track and Field Invitational.

Competing in his first outdoor meet of the season, Kolacz threw the 16-lb hammer 189'-2'' to hit the provisional mark. The senior also placed second in the shot-put (49'-00.25") and discus (152'-09"). 

Walsh landed herself on the provisional list with her time of 11:03.29 in the 3,000 meter steeple chase event.

In other field events, sophomore Dante Hill (Longmeadow, Mass.) was fourth in the shot with a mark of 48'-01.25".

Senior Amy Knoblock (Plymouth, Mass.) also did well on the track with her third place finish in the 3,000 (10:08.67).

The Owls will travel to UMass Amherst next Saturday.
