Owls Compete at Snowflake Invitational at Tufts

MEDFORD, Mass. 3/31/12 - Juniors Glenn Guilmette (Kensington, N.H.) and Thomas Paquette (Bolton, Conn.) led the Keene State College track and field teams at the Snowflake Classic, hosted by Tufts University.

Guilmette, who threw a personal best last week, hurled the javelin 189'-9'' to outdistance the competition by almost 25 feet.

Paquette finished the 5,000 meter race in third place, crossing the finish line in 15:14.28 to qualify for ECAC Championships.

Also placing well on the track, Chance Wilk (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) finished fourth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in a time of 10:13.76.

Leading the way for the women, sophomore Kristen Huckins (Westmoreland, N.H.) placed eighth in the javelin, with a toss of 113'-0''.

The Owl return to action next week, as they will travle to UMass Lowell on Saturday, April 7th.
