Fitter, Guilmette Earn LEC Player of the Week Honors

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. 5/7/12 – Juniors Maggie Fitter (Branford, Conn.) and Glenn Guilmette (Kensington, N.H.) earned Little East Conference athlete of the week honors, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Maggie Fitter (Branford, Conn.), Junior, Keene State College
Fitter posted the ninth fastest time in Division III in the 800-meter run this past weekend at the Division III New England Championships. The junior from Branford, Conn. captured the individual title with a time of two minutes, 11.10 seconds.

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
Glenn Guilmette (Kensington, N.H.), Junior, Keene State College
Guilmette captured the javelin event this past weekend at the Division III New England Championships. The junior from Kensington, N.H. heaved the javelin 58.37 meters to defeat the 15-person field.
