Cross Country Closes Out Season At NCAA Regional Race

GORHAM, Maine--The season drew to a close for the Keene State College cross country teams at the NCAA New England Regional Race at the University of Southern Maine on Saturday.

The Keene State men placed 18th out of 55 teams, led by senior Philip Parent, who finished in 102nd place out of 370 runners in 27:11.8.  Iid Sheikh-Yusuf was right behind in 27:14.7, as was Cam Giordano, in 27:15.4.    Ian Connell covered the 8K course in 27:26.3, followed by Matt Dudley in 27:28.9.   Tyler DeChane finished in 28:25.9, and Ben MacDonald rounded out the Keene State contingent in 28:45.2.

The Owl women, meanwhile, placed 32nd out of 56 teams.  KSC was paced by freshman Christina Martin, who finished in 178th place out of 393 runners in 24:25.6, followed by Alana Olendorf in 24:31.8.  Brittany Gravallese was next in 24:36.6, just ahead of Emily Jarka in 24:39.0.  Lynne Hebert crossed the line in 24:42.6, followed by Laura Dawson in 25:39.9 and Mila Barrera in 26:11.5.
