Samantha Nitso, Freshman, Softball

Samantha Nitso had a very productive week at the plate for the Owls, hitting .600 with seven runs scored, three home runs, two doubles, a triple and eight RBIs.  The freshman from Londonderry had a home run, a double and three RBIs in the Owls’ second game 10-8 victory over Plymouth State on Tuesday and flowed that up by going four-for-four with a home run and three RBIs in a key 11-3 victory over Rhode Island College that clinched second place for KSC in the LEC standings.

“I knew Samantha was capable of hitting like this,” said KSC Coach Charlie Beach.  “She’s been hitting well in practice, so we gave her a chance and she’s doing it big-time in games.”
