Emily Albin, Senior, Softball

Emily Albin had a terrific tournament in the circle for the Keene State College softball team at the NCAA Amherst regional  last week.  The senior pitcher from Bethel, Conn. posted a 3-1 record with a 2.33 ERA going up against some of the top Division III teams in the country.

Picking up a complete  win in the Owls’ 4-2 opening game victory over St. Joseph’s College, Albin especially shined in her two victories over 12th ranked and top seed Cortland State.  On Friday, she gave up one run on three hits with four strikeouts and three walks as the Owls edged the Red Dragons 2-1.  After a tough outing against eventual regional champion Plattsburgh State, Albin came back on Saturday, scattering seven hits in a 6-1 win over Cortland State that elevated the Owls into the championship round against Plattsburgh.

Named to the All-LEC second-team,  Albin completed her senior season with a 14-5 record.
