Galavotti Named NFCA National Player of the Week

LOUSIVLLE, Ky.--Keene State College senior designated player was named as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III National Player of the Week, it was announced today.

Galavotti, from Marion, Mass., earned the honor after a week that saw her move up the KSC home run charts.  

The senior led the Owls to a 4-0 week, sweeping Westfield State and Rhode Island College by batting 10-for-14 with a double, four home runs, and 13 RBI.  In the doubleheader against Westfield State, she batted 4-for-7 with two home runs and six RBI, homering twice in one inning in the second game.  Against the Anchorwomen, she was a combined 6-for-7 with seven more RBI, homering twice more.  With her home run earlier this week against Castleton, she now has 22 homers at Keene State, the third highest total in school history.
