Campbell and Miller to Play in NEWISA Senior Bowl
'KEENE, N.H. 11/15/05 - Keene State College's Sarah Campbell (Auburn, Mass.) and Sarah Miller (Walpole, N.H.) have been selected to play in the 2005 New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Senior Bowl game. The game, which features top senior women's soccer players from all three Divisions in New England, will be played at Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass. on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 1 p.m.
Campbell, who took over as the Owls' top goalie this fall, finished the season with a 0.74 GAA and six shutouts. A second-team All-LEC selection and MVP of the ECAC Division III New England Tournament, Campbell also set a KSC record with 124 saves this season.
Miller made the successful transition from midfield to the Owls' starting sweeper back this season. Anchoring KSC's defense, Miller, a first-team All-LEC pick, also chipped in offensively with a goal, three assists, and five points.
Finishing its season with a 14-6-3 (4-2-1 LEC) record, Keene State captured its first Division III ECAC New England Championship with a 2-1 win over Clark University on Saturday.
