Melissa Dempsey Selected to Division III NEWISA Senior Bowl

KEENE, N.H. 11/22/11 – Keene State College senior defender Melissa Dempsey (East Weymouth, Mass.) has been selected to play in the NEWISA Division III Senior Bowl on Sunday, December 4th. The game, which will be hosted at Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass. and start at 11 a.m., will feature senior women’s soccer players from across the region.

Dempsey, who earned 1st Team All-LEC honors, finished the season with three goals and three assists from the Owls backfield. Her one goal, two assist game against Little East Conference rival UMass Boston back on September 17th was her best game of the season. The East Weymouth, Mass. product also tallied goals against Southern Maine and Worcester State on the season.
