Swim and Dive Opens Competition at MIT Invitational

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--The three day MIT Invitational began on Friday night at the Alumni Pool in the Wang Fitness Center.

Men's Highlights

KSC's Kyle Shadeck, Eric King, Zach Payne, and Patrick Doyle were 13th in the 800 free relay, with a time of 7:20.45, while the all-freshman quartet of Jacob Peters, Quint Kimmel, Michael Moorman, and Andrew Daur were 17th in 7:40.48. Kimmel was in 11th place in 17:58.83 in the 1,650 free, and Patrick Doyle was in 12th place in the same event in 18:00.10.  

George Colarullo was sixth on the 3-meter dive, with a score of 230.65.

Women's Highlights

Brianna Feldman was 16th on the 1-meter dive, scoring 166.50.  Molly O'Connor was KSC's top finisher in the 1,650 free, in 21st place in 19:45.33, and the foursome of Samantha Dickinson, Kristyn Simoneau, Sophie Hayes, and Katie Brandeberry were 12th in the 800 free relay in 8:04.33.  Erin Morley, Lauren Arsenault, Paige Carey, and Molly O'Connor were 21st in the 800 free relay, in 8:36.45.
