KEENE, N.H.--Throughout the summer months, the Keene State College Department of Athletics and Recreation will be looking back at some of the top moments and milestones of the 2016-17 academic year.
At No. 4, we revisit our first NCAA Women's Outdoor Track and Field Qualifier in four years.
In 2017, Katelyn Terry had one of the finest seasons by a KSC runner in recent memory. After an indoor season that saw her take home the LEC Track Athlete of the Year award, and being named All-Region by the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association, Terry's outdoor season proved to be even better.
Progressing throughout the season, Terry ran a career best of 2:11.67 in the 800 meters at the New England Division III Championships, a time that essentially sealed her place at the NCAA Championships. Earning All-New England honors, Terry's place was confirmed as KSC's first outdoor female qualifier since 2013 on May 6.
Racing at the Championships in Geneva, Ohio later that month, Terry placed 14th overall in 2:12.71.
