Katelyn Terry Named Academic All-American By USTFCCA; Owls Also Garner Team Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La.--Recent Keene State College graduate Katelyn Terry has been named as an Academic All-American by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).  The Owls' women's team also was named as an All-Academic Team.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have met at least one of the following athletic standards:

  • Competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship
  • Finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.

A native of Strafford, N.H., Terry graduated magna cum laude with a degree in film and was named as the Co-KSC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year.  She became Keene State's first female NCAA Outdoor Division III Championships qualifier in four years this past spring, when she qualified in the 800 meter run.

As a team, the Owls compiled a 3.36 GPA, one of 183 teams honored for their academics.
