Owls Compete at Open New England Championships

BOSTON, Mass.--The Keene State College track and field squad began postseason competition at the Open New England Championships this past weekend.

Jared Hannon finished 14th in the long jump with a bound of 6.79 meters, the 41st best jump in the country this year and also took part in the 4x400 relay with Brandon Castor, Anthony Jennings, and Alex Medina that placed 16th in 3:29.31.   

On the women's side, Brittany Gravallese finished 22nd in the 800 meters in 2:23.13, while Lynne Hebert was 26th in the 1,000 meters in 3:11.28.  Gravallese and Hebert, along with Nicole De Almeida and Taylor Bisaillon comprised the 4x400 meter relay team that was 15th in 4:09.57.

The Owls will gear up for next weekend's Little East Conference Championships at Rhode Island College.
