KEENE, N.H.--The Keene State College volleyball team recorded its first victory over Rivier University in four years, then beat Colby-Sawyer College to extend its school record undefeated start to the season with a pair of wins at Foley Gym on the first day of the Granite State Challenge at Plymouth State University.

Keene State got 24 kills from Rachel Lamica, matching that total for the second match in a row for a 3-2 (26-24, 21-25, 24-26, 25-23, 15-13) win over the Raiders. Lamica added 14 digs, two service aces, and a block assist while hitting .275. KSC also got eight kills from Olivia Mathieu, seven each from Katie Cunningham and Jennifer Severino, and six from Niamh Dodd. Bailey Wilson had six kills and 41 assists while adding nine digs and three aces.
How it Happened - Colby-Sawyer
The Owls took the first two sets, then let the Chargers take two back before sealing the win with a fifth set victory. The six consecutive wins are the most since a nine game win streak in the 2015 season.

Keene State returns to Spaulding Gym to host the second day of the challenge, facing New England College at noon and Plymouth State at 4 p.m. Other matches at the Challenge include Colby-Sawyer vs. New England College (2 pm), Rivier vs. Plymouth State (2 pm), and Colby-Sawyer vs. Rivier (4 pm). Matches will take place in both Spaulding Gym and the KSC Rec Center courts.
