PAWTUCKET, R.I.--The Keene State College volleyball team swept all three of the Little East Conference awards for the week of September 25. Senior Rachel Lamica was named the Offensive Player of the Week, junior Riley Bunker was named the Defensive Player of the Week, and freshman Bailey Wilson was named the Rookie of the Week.
Lamica, from Malone, N.Y., was named LEC Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season after averaging 5.25 kills and 2.25 digs per set while hitting .463 in a 3-0 week for the undefeated Owls. She had a double-double with 16 kills and 10 digs in a 3-0 win over Worcester State, totaled 12 kills and five digs in a 3-0 LEC win over UMass Dartmouth, and capped the week with a 12-kill performance in a 3-0 win over Lesley.
Bunker, from Simi Valley, Calif., was named LEC Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season after averaging 5.67 digs per set to lead the Owls' defense in a 3-0 week. The junior totaled 20 digs in a 3-0 victory over Worcester State, tallied 21 digs and two service aces in a 3-0 LEC win at UMass Dartmouth, and capped the week totaling 10 digs and three aces in a 3-0 win over Lesley.
Wilson, out of Moorpark, Calif., repeated as LEC Rookie of the Week after averaging 10.13 assists, 2.50 digs and 0.63 service aces per set in a 3-0 week for the Owls. She totaled 37 assists, eight digs and three kills in a 3-0 win over Worcester State, 30 assists, 10 digs, six kills and three aces in a 3-0 LEC victory at UMass Dartmouth, and handed out 14 assists with three kills and two aces in a 3-0 win over Lesley.
The Owls (14-0), one of seven teams left in NCAA Division III that are still undefeated, resume play with a road game at Rivier University on Tuesday night.
