KEENE, N.H.--Keene State College sophomore outside hitter Megan Palmer has been named as the Little East Conference Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced today by the conference office.
Palmer (East Islip, N.Y.) led the Owls to three wins last week, totaling up 33 kills and hitting .451 as Keene State improved to 17-5 overall and 4-1 in the Little East Conference. In an LEC matchup against Castleton University, Palmer hit an eye-popping .750, with 12 kills and did not make a single error in 16 attempts. Later in the week against UMass Dartmouth, she racked up 13 more kills with one error and hit .353 and added 10 digs. She closed out the week by adding eight kills and 11 digs in just two sets against Maine Presque-Isle.
It's the second time this season Palmer has picked up the award. She is currently four in the LEC in kills per set, third in total kills, and tenth in hit percentage.
