Junior runner looking forward to a breakout season for the Owls on the trails and one the track…will compete in the 800, mile and DMR on the track.
2010: Cross Country: Earned All-LEC honors with her fifth place finish with a PR time of 19:26 at the Conference championship…Owls’ fourth-runner (23:46) at New England Regional meet. 2010-11 Track: Had a super sophomore season on the track…named All-American after running the third leg of KSC’s DMR team that finished third at the NCAA championships…raced to All-ECAC honors with her fourth place finish in the mile (5:01.24)…earned All-New England open recognition as a member of Owl DMR squad and 4x800 team that set a school record (9:16.72)…member of LECchampion 4x400 relay team…received All-New England Division III honors with her third place performance in the 800 (2:18.24) and raced to the LEC championship in the 800 (2:21.90) and the mile (5:16.01)…earned All-LEC honors outdoors with her third place finish in the 1,500 (4:51.91) and All-Alliance honors with her fifth place effort (2:23.35) in the 800.
2009: Cross Country: Made steady improvements on the trail….posted a season best time of 19:39.55 at the Saratoga Invitational, earning LEC runner of the week honors…placed eighth at the LEC championships (20:11), named All-Alliance and was the Owls’ fourth runner at the NCAA regionals…Track: 2009-10: Named LEC rookie indoor runner of the year….posted her personal best in the 800-meter run in the preliminary heat at the 2010 New England Open Championships 2:16.28…earned All-New England Division III (fifth/800)…won the mile, second in the 800, and on winning 4x400 relay at LEC championships…(Outdoors) won the 800-meter event at Westfield Invitational…At LEC meet, won the 800 and was third in the 1,500.
Before KSC: Took her first steps on the trails after competing on her Branford (Conn.) High soccer team the past four years...ran the 400 and 800-meter races and relays on high school track team...2009 sprint medley relay won Class M State Championship and placed second at open state meet…outdoors, won 800 and a member of 4x800 relay team that won the State (Class MM) title.
Personal: Older sister Elizabeth recently graduated from UNH where she ran track for a year and a half…younger brother Brian plays golf at Branford High…Maggie is a communications major.
