St. Germain, Lemke Garner LEC Weekly Awards

PAWTUCKET, R.I. - Two Owls were recognized by the Little East Conference (LEC) for their oustanding efforts over the past week, as junior Molly St. Germain of the Keene State softball program was named the Pitcher of the Week and freshman Matthew Lemke of the Keene State men's lacrosse program was named the Rookie of the Week, it was announced today.

The Owls' ace continued with another complete game, striking out eight and scattering five hits in a 1-0 win over Western Connecticut State, followed by another inning of hitless relief against the Colonials in the second contest of the day.

Lemke earned the title of LEC Rookie of the Week, after playing an intergral part of the Owls' third straight win and league victory over Salem State.
