KEENE, N.H. - Spring Break is underway, and with it four different Keene State College athletic teams will play 17 games in the state of Florida over the next six days.
The Owl softball team has four doubleheaders in five days after opening their season against Olivet College and Washington & Jefferson College on Sunday. The week kicks off with matchups against Webster University (8:30 a.m.) and Swarthmore College (12:00 p.m.) on Monday, March 11. After having Tuesday off, KSC will take on Susquehanna University at 11:45 a.m. and Haverford College at 2:00 p.m. on March 13, with contests against Westminster College (Pa.) and Newbury College awaiting the next morning. Keene State's trip wraps up after Friday, March 15 games with Washington College (9:15 a.m.) and Wisconsin Lutheran College (1:45 p.m.). The only two teams the Owls have played before are Susquehanna (2017) and Wisconsin Lutheran (2011).
Baseball also has a busy week in the Sunshine State, beginning with a Monday morning meeting with Worcester State University at 9:15 a.m. KSC gets their day off the next day before getting back in action with a doubleheader against Franklin & Marshall College on Wednesday, March 13 at 4:30 p.m. Three single games close out the Florida slate, beginning with a first-ever meeting with Westminster (Pa.) on March 14 at 2:00 p.m. The College of St. Scholastica is KSC's next foe on Friday, March 15 at 1:45 p.m., and Nichols College will be the final opponent before the Owls return north. First pitch is scheduled for Saturday, March 16 at 9:45 a.m.
Keene State women's lacrosse opens their trip to Englewood, Fla. with a regional matchup against Salem State University on Monday, March 11 at 4:30 p.m. before taking on Rochester Institute of Technology for the first time on Wednesday, March 13 at 8:00 p.m. It will be the Owls' first action since February 27.
Men's lacrosse will look for their first win of the season a long way from home when they travel to the Orlando area for a game against Lycoming College on Wednesday, March 13 at 12:00 p.m. The Owls and Warriors have never met before.
