KEENE, N.H. - As the snow attempts to melt, the Keene State College athletic teams currently in action return from Florida to begin the post-Spring Break schedule. The outdoor track and field season is also scheduled to get underway over the weekend.
After four games away from home to start the season, KSC is at Owl Athletic Complex for the first time when they take on Bates College on Tuesday, March 19 at 5:00 p.m. The Bobcats were ranked No. 13 in the USILA poll released March 11. The Owls remain home to open conference play against UMass Boston on Saturday, March 23 at 1:00 p.m.
Keene State goes to Worcester, Mass. for a make-up game against Clark University at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20. The Owls then open Little East play against UMass Boston at Monan Park on Saturday, March 23. The doubleheader against the Beacons, No. 17 in the March 11 d3baseball.com top 25 poll and the preseason conference favorite, begins at 1:00 p.m. KSC is then scheduled to open their home schedule the next day, March 24, against Johnson & Wales University (R.I.) at 1:00 p.m. Stay tuned to keeneowls.com for any schedule changes.
KSC softball is in action Friday and Saturday when they travel south. The Owls have a non-conference twinbill at Montclair State University on March 22 at 2:00 p.m. before stopping at Little East foe Western Connecticut State University on the way back the next day. The LEC doubleheader against the Colonials in Danbury, Conn. is scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m.
The Owls have a rescheduled game against Roger Williams University on Friday, March 22 at 4:00 p.m. It is KSC's lone game of the week and a contest that was originally slated to be played March 2.
Outdoor Track & Field
Both outdoor track and field teams are scheduled to open the 2019 season at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (March 23) at the Bridgewater State Invitational in Massachusetts.
