Keene State Athletics To Host Food Drive for The Hungry Owl

KEENE, N.H.--The Keene State College department of Athletics and Recreation will be hosting a food drive for The Hungry Owl, the on-campus food pantry at KSC during the men's and women's soccer games on October 2 at Dr. Ron Butcher Field.

The Hungry Owl was founded by students from the Pre-Medical and SNAKS (Student Nutrition Association at Keene State) in March 2018 to serve students, faculty, and staff who are experiencing food insecurity.

Donations for The Hungry Owl will be accepted at the ticket booth in lieu of admission for Wednesday's games.  Acceptable donations include non-perishable products, pasta, peanut butter, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti sauces, ramen noodles, rice, and energy bars.

Please direct questions about the food drive to Assistant Athletic Director Abe Osheyack at Abe.Osheyack@keene.edu.   The women's game against Salve Regina begins at 5 p.m., while the men's LEC contest against Castleton is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
