KEENE, N.H. 3/16/09 - Two members of the Keene State men's lacrosse team were honored by the Little East Conference for their defensive performances last week.
Defensive Player of the Week
Kyle Barnett (Londonderry, N.H.), Junior, Defender,
Keene State College
Barnett led a Keene State defense that allowed an average of 7.5
goals in a pair of victories last week. He collected 20 ground
balls, including 11 against Wheaton, and eight turnovers.
Goalie of the Week
Alec Corliss (Waltham, Mass.), Sophomore, Keene State
College
Corliss posted a 7.5 goals against average and a .711 save
percentage in a pair of Keene State wins. In his first college
start, Corliss made 23 saves-one short of the Owls record-against
Bates. He had 14 saves against Wheaton, including several
point-blank stops when the game was on the line, against the Lyons.
