KEENE, N.H. 3/30/09 - The Little East Conference honored three Owls on Monday.

Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week

Griffin Meehan (Simsbury, Conn.), Freshman, Attack, Keene State College
Meehan paced Keene State in the scoring column this past week with 13 points, on nine goals and four assists,  in the Owls' 1-1 week. The Simsbury, Conn. product registered a season-high eight points, including five markers, in a 20-5 win over Little East foe UMass Dartmouth on March 28. Earlier in the wee, Meehan netted four goals and handed out a helper in a 16-9 loss to #13 Bowdoin.

Men's Field Athlete of the Week
Bryan Kolacz (Brentwood, N.H.), Sophomore, Keene State College

Competing in the Owls first outdoor meet of the season at Trinity College's Bantam Invitational on Saturday, Kolacz finished first in the both hammer and discus events with school record throws. The sophomore from Brentwood, N.H. broke his Keene State record and posted an automatic NCAA Championship mark with his first place finish (189'-09") in the hammer throw. He also set an Owl record (149'-00") with his first place effort in the hammer.

Women's Track Athlete of the Week
Allison Chamberlain (Scarborough, Maine), Sophomore, Keene State College

At Saturday's Trinity College Bantam Invitational, Chamberlain placed second in the 800 (2:20.24) and 10th in the 200 meter race (28.24).
