Keene State's outstanding midfielder Emmanuel Smith (Concord, N.H.) scored the game winning goal for the Owls in the LEC championship game, crowning the Owls champions for the first time since 2010. Smith led the Owls this season, scoring 12 goals as well as adding 10 assists for a total of 34 points. Smith competed in all 21 games this season for the Owls, making starts in all 21 games as well. Smith tallied game winning goals on five separate occasions for KSC. In his two years as an Owl, Smith has managed to put up 18 goals and 15 assists, good for 51 points. KSC will host Ithaca College in the first round of the NCAA Division III men's soccer tournament from Dr. Ron Butcher Field on Saturday.
