Momnie and Schilling Receive LEC Weekly Honors

'KEENE, N.H. 4/21/03– Keene State College's Eric Momnie was selected men's lacrosse player of the week and Jeremy Schilling was named baseball rookie of the week by the Little East Conference on Monday.


A sophomore attackman from South Windsor, CT, Momnie scored 13 goals and added eight assists to lead Keene State to a 3-0 week.  He tallied 11 points on seven goals and four assists against Assumption College, added four goals and an assist against Norwich and two goals and three assists at Southern ME.  Momnie is third on the LEC scoring list with 28 goals, 22 assists and 50 points.


Winners of four straight, KSC (8-2, 3-0 LEC) host first place Eastern CT, (8-3, 4-0 LEC) in a key LEC men's lacrosse game on Wednesday (4 p.m.).


Schilling, a freshman first baseman from Centerville, MA., scored seven runs, drove in six and collected nine hits in 17 at bats for a .529 batting average over six games last week.  He had three hits and two stolen bases to help lead Keene State to its first ever league win over Southern ME.


KSC (8-15, 2-3 LEC) is at MA. College on Tuesday (3:30 p.m.).
