McCall was named the LEC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career. In leading the Owls to a 2-1 win over the University of New England, McCall, a junior from Watertown, Mass., and the KSC backline limited the Nor'Easters to just six shots on goal for the game. UNE did not score until the final play of the game following a corner that was awarded after time had expired. McCall also scored what proved to be the game winning goal in the 45th minute.
Loseby was honored as the LEC Goalkeeper of the Week for her efforts against the Nor'Easters as well. Loseby, who was named as the league's Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time in her career and first time this season, made five saves and, as mentioned, did not allow a goal until the final play of the game. The Hartford, Vt., native picked up her 13th career victory over the Nor'Easters, who had been receiving votes in the NFHCA top 25 poll heading into the season.
