GILBERT, Ariz.--The Keene State College field hockey duo of sophomore Nina Bruno and junior Ally McCall were both named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association/Longstreth All-Region teams, it was announced today.
Bruno, a sophomore forward from Agawam, Mass., was named to the First Team All-Region. The 2018 Little East Conference Offensive Player of the Year, Bruno racked up 32 goals and 10 assists for 74 points, the second highest single season point total in school history. Her 32 goals were also the second highest single season mark. She notched five hat-tricks this season, including two four goal games and a single-game school record tying five against Bridgewater State on October 9. After just two seasons in a KSC uniform, Bruno has 127 career points, already seventh on the KSC all-time list, while her 55 career goals are sixth all-time.
McCall, a junior defender who hails from Watertown, Mass., was picked to the Second Team All-Region. McCall was the 2018 LEC Defensive Player of the Year and the LEC Tournament Most Outstanding Player, scoring three goals and setting up 14 more this year, including helpers in the LEC championship game win over Castleton and in the opening round of the NCAA tournament against New Paltz. The 14 assists are tied for the third highest single season mark in thie history of Keene State field hockey.
