LEC M. Lax: Owls to Host UMB in Semifinals

'KEENE, N.H. 5/3/05 - Top seed Keene State College will face fifth seed UMass-Boston in a semifinal Little East Conference Tournament men's lacrosse game at Owl Athletic Complex on Thursday (3:30 p.m.).

The Owls (8-4, 6-0 LEC) received a first round bye while UMass-Boston (10-5, 2-4 LEC) upset fourth seed Plymouth State 6-5 in a quarterfinal game played Tuesday in Plymouth.

"I'd rather play Plymouth, but we should be able to handle UMass-Boston," said KSC Coach Mark Theriault, who scouted the PSU/UMB game. "We didn't play well against them earlier this season down in Boston, but our larger field should help us."

Keene State, which has lost to Eastern Conn., the past two years in the LEC finals, edged UMB 11-10 back on April 9.
