SALEM, MASS. 4/4/09 - The Keene State College Owls scored seven unanswered goals en route to a 13-4 victory over the Vikings in a Little East Conference (LEC) match played this evening at Alumni Field.

Keene State (4-2, 2-0 LEC) remains undefeated in LEC play while Salem State falls to 3-5 overall and 1-1 in the conference.  

The Owls were led by freshman attackman Griffin Meehan (Simsbury, CT)  and senior attackman Rodney Arganese (Trumbull, CT).  Meehan scored four consecutive goals to break open a 3-2 game.  Meehan also recorded a pair of assists.  Arganese netted two goals and dished out a pair of assists.

The Owls also received two goals from junior middie Riley Benson (Derry, NH ) and single tallies from sophomore defender Dan Scimone (Walpole, MA), junior middie Jamie LeSage (Exeter, NH) and senior attackman Tony Santa Fe (Derry, NH).  KSC sophomore goalie Alec Corliss (Waltham, MA) made seven saves.

The Vikings received a pair of third period goals from sophomore attackman Jon Falls (Seekonk, MA) and single first period scoring strikes from junior long stick middie Rob Carpenito (Leominster, MA) and junior attackman Justin Jones (Danvers, MA).  

Keene State is off until next Saturday when they host a showdown against LEC rival Eastern Conn.
