AMHERST, Mass.--Recent Keene State College graduate Charles Molloy IV will get to pull on the Owls' jersey one last time. Molloy was selected to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association East-West Senior All-Star game, set to take place on May 31 at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I.
All players and coaches were nominated by the head coaches within the NEILA. Players were then ranked and selected by a committee, awarding seniors from all three NCAA Divisions who played their college career in the New England region. This all-star game is the only one of its kind, being a regional all-star game which includes players from Divisions I, II, and III.
Molloy (Guilford, Conn.) concluded his career as one of the most decorated defenders in program history. He was the Little East Conference Defensive Player of the Year as both a junior and a senior, as well as being picked as the Little East Conference Tournament Most Outstanding Player in 2018 and to the All-LEC First Team in his final two seasons.
In his four years, Molloy's teams went an astonishing 51-19 (.729), and 29-0 in Little East Conference play, while winning four LEC regular season championships and four LEC tournament titles and appearing in the NCAA tournament four times. He ranks among KSC's all-time leaders in ground balls (eighth, 166), and caused turnovers (second, 83), and recently became the seventh USILA Honorable Mention All-America in program history.
