KEENE, N.H.--Keene State College junior midfielder Emmanuel Smith was named to the New England Second Team All-Region as announced by the United Soccer Coaches today.
Smith (Concord, N.H.) wrapped up his second season with the Owls, finishing as the team's leading leading scorer with 12 goals and 11 assists for 35 points. Among his 11 goals were five game winners, none more important than the lone goal in the Little East Conference championship game, which gave the Owls their first conference tournament title since 2010.
Smith was also named to the First Team All-LEC, the first KSC player to do so since 2017, and is the first USC All-Region player KSC has had since 2010, based on available data. The Owls wrapped up the season with a 15-7 record, reaching the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2010 and hosting the opening two rounds for the first time since 2007.
