'11/18-Keene State College Swimming and Diving compete at Middlebury College.
MIDDLEBURY, VT - Keene State men's and women's swim teams competed at the Middlebury College Invitational in Vermont on Saturday. The non-scoring meet also included teams from UMass-Dartmouth, St. Michael's, and Gordon College.
The Owls posted several strong relay performances at the meet.
The KSC men posted second place finishers in five relays in the meet. They included the Owl 800-yard freestyle relay team of Kyle Uricchio (Enfield, Conn.), Cody Larrimore (Trappe, Md.), Domingo Rose (Nashua, N.H.), and Michael Fedele (Sandwich, Mass.) with a time of 7:45.36. The 400 butterfly relay squad of Ian MacAskil (Londonderry, N.H.), Larrimore, Fedele, and Uricchio with a time of 3:58.52. The 400 breaststroke relay, Ryan Handren (Brewster, Mass,), Fedele, Uricchio, and Rose (4:33.10), the 4x200 I.M. relay of Ted Raczka ((Middletown, Conn.), Uricchio, Fedele, and Larrimore (9:05.27), and the 200 freestyle relay of Larrimore, Raczka, Rose, and Fedele (1:33.13).
In an individual race Uricchio was second in the 500 freestyle (5:08.40).
The Keene State women's team had three second place finishers. Kristine Trutor (Holden, Mass.), Alea Paddock (Newbury, N.H.), Megan Flynn (Farmington, Conn.), and Katlin Pryor (Jaffrey, N.H.) had a time of 4:20.31 in the 400 butterfly relay, Paddock, Flynn, Devon Trabilsy (Hillsborough, N.J.) had a time of 5:04.18, and Trutor, Pryor, Trabilsy, and Paddock had a time of 9:35.04 in the 4x200 I.M. realy.
On Dec. 2, the KSC women are at the LEC championships at UMass-Dartmouth and the KSC men are at the Wesleyan Invitational.
