M. Swim/Dive: Owls Set Three Records at Wesleyan

'MIDDLETOWN, CONN. 12/3/06 - The Keene State College men's swim/dive team set three school records at the Wesleyan University Cardinal Invitational held this weekend at Middletown, Conn.

 

 

The Owls tallied 865.5 points to finish third behind champion Brandeis University (1,100 points) at the two day meet that also included MIT and the host team.

 

 

Freshman Cody Larrimore (Trappe, Md.) turned in an outstanding performance winning three events and setting two school records.  He set school marks with his first place swims in the 50 butterfly (23.86) and the 50 freestyle (21.87).  Larrimore also won the 100 individual medley (55.74).

 

 

Senior Kyle Uricchio (Enfield, Conn.) also put his name in the KSC record book with his second place finish in the 400 I.M. (4:20.09).  Uricchio was second in the 500 free (4:56.31) and the 1,650 free (16:53.04).

 

 

Freshman Domingo Rose (Nashua, N.H.) won the 200 breastroke (2:20.78) and took third in the 50 breast race (28.72).  

 

 

In other races, freshman Ted Raczka (Middletown, Conn.) was second in the 200 back (2:12.42) and freshman Michael Fedele (Sandwich Mass.) finished second in the 200 breast (2:21.67).

 

 

In diving, Michael Cleary (Nashua, N.H.) had a pair of second place finishers in the one-meter (107.40 points) and three-meter (109.73 points) events.

 

 

The Owls will compete next Saturday against WPI in a meet that will be held at Clark University.
