KEENE, N.H.--The Keene State College swim and dive teams sent their seniors out with some strong performances in a dual meet against Roger Williams on Saturday at Spaulding Gym.
The Owls got a meet opening win in the 400 medley relay as Samantha Dickinson, Madison Pechulis, Sophie Hayes, and Jaelin Jang touched in at 4:12.83, winning by nearly three seconds. Jang added an individual win in the 200 free in 2:05.03, while Madison Pechulis edged out a victory in the 100 breaststroke 1:09.20. Olivia Pechulis captured the 200 breaststroke in 2:38.65, and Kristyn Simoneau won the 100 fly in 1:04.90.
Dickinson notched her own individual win in the 200 IM in 2:22.40, as the Hawks took the dual meet 165-106.
Zach Payne picked up the first of four Owl wins with a victory in the 100 backstroke, in 55.40, while Kyle Shadeck won the 200 fly in 2:04.97. George Colarullo took home the 1 meter dive by scoring 245.77 to win by more than 42 points, and was even more dominant in the 3-meter dive with a score of 240.75, a win of over 52 points. The Hawks won the meet with a score of 206-89.
At the meet, seniors Bryce Bowie, Zack Collins, Eric King, Zach Payne, Kyle Shadeck, Sophie Hayes, Sydney McGough, Erin Morley, Molly O'Connor, Emily Peach, Madison Pechulis, Olivia Pechulis, and Maureen Pycko were honored for their contributions to the program.
The Owls are off until November 16, when they will take on Springfield College and Wheaton College in a tri-meet in Norton, Mass.
