MEDFORD, Mass.--Lauren Perkowski resumed her dominance in the 5,000 meters on the outdoor track as the Keene State College track and field teams competed at the Snowflake Invitational at Tufts University on Saturday.
Angel Ramirez won the 200 meter dash in a photo finish, crossing the line in 23.08 seconds to edge RPI's Neil Casimir by .01 seconds. Joey Fodor was third in the javelin, throwing 53 meters, a mark that is currently 24th in the nation.
Keene State totalled up 25 points to finish ninth.
Lauren Perkowski punched her ticket to the New England Division III championships, winning the 5,000 meters in 18:10.05 for a nearly five second margin of victory. Amanda Deppert was seventh in the 100 meter dash in 13.30 seconds, and Skyler Gauthier was sixth in the 400 hurdles in 1:09.51.
Skyler Gauthier teamed up with Nicole De Almeida, Chloe Page, and Brittany Gravallese to place fourth in the 4x400 meter relay in 4:13.39. Shannon Parks was fourth in the shot put at 11.15 meters, and was fifth in the discus at 33.91 meters, and eighth in the hammer at 38.19 meters.
The KSC women finished ninth overall with 31 points.
