  • Keene State College Secures Commissioner’s Cup For 12th Time

    NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Keene State College is the top athletic program in the Little East Conference for the 12th consecutive campaign, according to the 2011-12 Little East Commissioner’s Cup standings released by the conference office this afternoon. The Owls finished either first or second in the final regular season standings in 11 of their 17 conference sponsored sports (.647) to average 7.8974 points on a scale of eight.

Senior Kevin Hoyt (Newtown, Conn.), junior Glenn Guilmette (Kensington, N.H.), sophomore Angus Fisher (Northampton, Mass.) and freshman Blake Pearson (Alstead, N.H.) each took home individual titles to lead the men to 86 points in the meet.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. 4/21/12 – Keene State College junior Maggie Fitter (Branford, Conn.) led the Owls at the Larry Ellis Invitational in Princeton, N.J. on Friday night, by posting a strong NCAA qualifying time in the 800 meters. The rest of the KSC squad, that was at the Springfield Invitational on Saturday afternoon, was led by senior Kevin Hoyt (Newtown, Conn.) and his victory in the 5,000 meter race.

    NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Keene State College is the top academic institution in the Little East Conference, according to the 2010-11 Presidents Cup standings released by the conference office this afternoon. The Owls sported a cumulative grade point average of 3.06 to outdistance themselves from Eastern Connecticut State University (2.96).
